When We’ve Grown Old
October 10, 2006 | Author: Cindy | Filed under: Your Daily Dose of Love
When we’ve grown old I want to read to you,
Stories that make you feel like a little girl.
I want to buy you flowers and kiss your forehead when you sleep.
I want to dream about you even when I am awake.
I want to be the shoulder that gathers your tears.
I can picture it in my mind . . .
In my heart every kiss still feels like the first kiss.
I am still crazy in love with you.
I love to wash your hair and paint your toe nails.
I like to watch you laugh as I tickle your feet.
I love to sit by the window and hold you while we listen to the rain.
I’ll still carry you to bed when you feel tired.
I still long to run my fingers through your hair and kiss you good night.
When I am close to you, I will never feel old.
